BMW ECU/DME OBDII Bench Unlock | For Tuning With MHD
MHD Flasher is the first Android handheld application to bring ECU tuning and monitoring to the BMW N54, N55, S55, B58 and N13 engine. The MHD Flasher reveals the immense margin of power BMW left on the table with the N54, N55, S55, B58 and N13 motor, while still retaining the sophistication of the original engine management program.
The Bosch ECU/DME installed the latest generation of F-Series and G-Series BMW models are locked from the factory to prevent tuning modifications via the OBDII port. This typically effects most models with BMW software after March-2019 (M140i, M340i, M2 Competition, M3, M4, M5, M8, etc).
To enable OBDII tuning capabilities for MHD on your BMW F & G Series, the DME/ECU needs to be reprogrammed with a new patch that allows OBDII tuning/reprogramming. This one time patch is completely safe and does not alter the factory performance of the vehicle.

HOW DO I HAVE MY DME/ECU UNLOCKED?
We offer both an in house and mail in service to have your ECU/DME OBDII capabilities unlocked.
Mail In Service
This will require you to remove the ECU/DME from your car and send it to us for patching. The cost to send the ECU/DME to us in not included in your purchase but the overnight return of your ECU/DME via FedEx/TNT Express is (cost added at checkout). The typical turnaround time to have this done is 2-7 days depending on your location.
In House Service (Melbourne Only)
Once you have purchased the OBD unlock, we will be in touch with you to arrange a suitable time to have you booked in to have the unlock performed. The cost is fully inclusive of all labour required to gain access to your ECU/DME and perform the OBD unlock. This could take up to a 1-2 hours to do depending on the model.
WHAT IF MY DME/ECU IS RE-LOCKED?
Our DME/ECU OBD2 unlock also comes with a 24-month guarantee. Should your ECU/DME be re-locked through BMW programming during this time, we will unlock it for you free of charge (excluding any freight or labour costs). This is only available for the original owner/purchaser and terms & conditions apply.

Great service and super fast
I had my 2020 M340ix unlocked. It was done in under 1.5 hours. I added a MHD map while in the carpark and enjoyed testing it as I drive home. Highly recommend.
First time at Southern BM today and it won't be my last. Efficient and quality service as I'd expected at a much more reasonable price than a BMW Dealer. The only downside, you'll drop your car off and will end up drooling over the m3s and m4s out front!

Sean arranged a Quaife LSD for my 135i and I couldn't be happier. He advised multiple seals and bearings needed replacing unbeknownst to me so these were done as well. Now I have a more reliable car and one with tonnes more mechanical grip!
