We are a fully independent BMW service centre and pride ourselves on being a genuine dealership alternative.

We offer a complete range of servicing options for you BMW including interim oil changes, vehicle inspection services, manufacturer log book servicing and our enhanced service and maintenance program.

All newer BMW models are equipped with an on-board service monitoring system known as ‘Condition Based Servicing' or ‘CBS' that is displayed through the vehicle's iDrive system. This system actively monitors engine and other vehicle components for wear such as the oil life, cabin air filter, brake pad wear, condition of the brake fluid and spark plugs and informs the driver when maintenance is required.

While BMW's CBS system is a fantastic initiative, it typically pushes the distance between oil changes to well in excess of 25,000kms which, depending on a number of factors, can have some long term negative effects to your BMW's health. Our minimum recommended requirement for servicing slightly differs from the BMW schedule. We recommend a maximum distance of 15,000kms or 12 month between oil service so that we can keep your BMW safe, reliable and on the road for many years to come without any additional costly repairs due to excessive wear.

No matter the age or kilometres on your BMW, we treat every vehicle as our own and will tailor the service requirements according to what your BMW actually requires, keep you informed of all cost before carrying out any further work, and make sure we can keep you enjoying your BMW for many trouble free years to come.

Our state of the art Beissbarth Wheel Alignment equipment allows us to ensure your BMW's alignment remains within the factory BMW settings or we can make adjustments for customised suspension set ups. Frequently Asked Questions

What are your opening hours?

We are open from 8am until 5.30pm Monday to Friday. We are closed on weekends and all Victoria public holidays. Operating hours may also differ during the Christmas/New Years holiday period.

What is your normal lead time for a service booking?

We are normally booked out 5-7 days in advance for service bookings. If you have a more urgent matter than needs attending to just get in contact with us and we see how we can help.

Do you have an after hours drop off/pick up service?

If you can’t get to us during normal business hours we offer a key drop and pick up box to make leaving your car with us as convenient as possible. Just mention this to us when you make your next service booking and we will be happy to provide you with further information.

Are you located close to public transport?

Our facility is conveniently located less that 3 kilometres from Moorabbin train station on the Frankston line. We offer a pick up and drop off service both to and from the train station. There is also a number of bus, taxi and Uber services available for you to use.

Can I wait while my service is being performed?

Of course you can. We have a spacious waiting area overlooking our workshop with comfy couches, office space, TV, free coffee, foosball – and free WiFi. Make yourself at home and we will take care of the rest!

Will I void my new car warranty by servicing with SouthernBM?

The short answer is no. We use only Genuine BMW Parts and BMW approved Castrol fluids and follow the BMW recommended service program so you can be sure that there will be no effect to the new car warranty on your BMW.

Do you offer warranty on the work you perform?

We offer an unlimited kilometre, 24 month warranty of all service, maintenance and repair work we perform on your BMW. For further information on our warranty program please contact us.

Do you offer loan vehicles?

We have several loan vehicles available for your use during your service visit. Whilst there is no charge on these vehicles all we ask is that you replace the fuel you use and alert us of any toll road charges you may have incurred. Loan vehicles are typically booked out a couple of weeks in advance so be sure to allow for this when making your service appointment.

Each loan vehicle comes with an insurance excess of $2,000 in the advent of an accident or any damage. The excess can be reduce to $500 for a charge of $25 per day.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Cash, Visa, Mastercard, WeChat Pay and EFTPOS payment with no fees. AMEX is also accepted but may incur a small surcharge. Direct deposit transfers can also be made as long it has been organised prior to vehicle collection. Business and personal cheques will not be accepted.
