ICONIC 5-SPOKE DESIGN
The VS-5 brings the aggressive styling of APEX’s iconic forged VS-5RS to a flow-formed wheel. At a fraction of the price of its forged counterpart, the VS-5 delivers performance well beyond expectations and maximises the potential of flow-formed technology. With nearly two decades of experience developing track-ready flow-formed wheels, APEX has engineered the VS-5 to provide Real Performance at an exceptional value.
PUSHING THE BOUNDARIES OF FLOW FORMED MANUFACTURING
With a strength-to-weight ratio and features typically reserved for forged wheels, the VS-5 pushes the limits of flow-formed manufacturing. Weighing only 2–2.5 lbs more than its forged sibling, the VS-5 is not just a top-tier option in the flow-formed category — it represents the final step in performance before progressing to a fully forged design.
THE FLOW FORM ADVANTAGE
Flow forming enables APEX to produce high-performance wheels without the price premium of forging. The process improves the mechanical properties and grain structure of the barrel, increasing both strength and stiffness, which allows for less material use and reduced weight. Through advanced engineering, APEX flow-formed wheels achieve a higher load rating than some competitors’ forged wheels.
SIDE-MILLED SPOKES
A key factor in the VS-5’s impressive weight savings, side-milled spokes also enhance its striking appearance. The VS-5 utilises advanced side-milling, where excess material that does not contribute to strength is removed from the sides of the spokes using a precision CNC ball cutter. While this process is often considered cost-prohibitive by other manufacturers, APEX regards it as essential to deliver uncompromised performance.
BIGGER, TOUGHER INNER LIP
The inner lip is the most vulnerable part of a wheel, as it lacks the support of spokes. To address this, APEX’s flow-formed Evolution Line reinforces the inner lip by adding extra material in this critical area, providing greater protection against impacts from track kerbs, potholes, and other road hazards.
MAXIMISING CONCAVITY
APEX uses the deepest concave face profiles possible for every application. The VS-5 utilises three unique profiles to deliver the deepest concave face achievable, helping to reduce weight and provide a stunningly aggressive appearance, while factoring in critical clearances such as brake calipers.
BIG BRAKE CLEARANCE
Big brakes often require bigger, heavier, more expensive wheels, which are not ideal for performance. Leveraging APEX’s expansive library of 3D brake scans, the VS-5’s spoke profiles are specifically designed around critical OE and aftermarket brake calipers. Additionally, APEX flow-formed wheels are designed with a unique 0-degree draft barrel for maximum caliper clearance.
WEIGHT OPTIMISED
APEX conducted extensive Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to reinforce high-stress areas and remove any extra material where it did not improve strength. The result is a wheel that is exceptionally light without the strength compromises typically found on lightweight wheels.
BUILT FOR IMPACT SOCKETS
Track wheels need track tools. Don’t settle for wheels that require undersized tuner lugs or thin walled sockets. All APEX wheels accommodate over-sized race lugs and impact sockets to make swapping wheels lightning fast.

FINISHING TOUCHES
The VS-5 is finished using a multi-stage liquid paint over a powder-coated base coat. This coating process leaves lug holes, centre bores and mounting pads untouched, which ensures proper fit and torque values.
JWL AND BEYOND
All APEX Flow Formed wheels meet or meaningfully exceed JWL load rating requirements. Some manufacturers don't meet the minimum requirements, yet still claim to be compliant. Always compare load ratings to ensure you aren’t sacrificing critical strength for a slightly lighter wheel.

HUB CENTRIC
VS-5 wheels are purpose built for select vehicle applications. Very few applications require locating rings.
CENTRE CAPS
All APEX wheels come with a gloss black cap included. Unlike its forged counterpart, the VS-5 has limited OE cap support. However, APEX also offers additional colours for select fitments.
WHEEL HARDWARE
APEX wheels can be used with all OEM mounting hardware, proper aftermarket hardware and most wheel spacers. Wheel locks and stud conversion kits also work perfectly.
TPMS
All APEX wheels are compatible with both OEM and aftermarket Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS), as well as standard-fit valve stems.
