The ESS Performance DCT Transmission Software for the E90, E92 and E93 M3 not only improves the speed of gear changes, it also fixes many of the quirks of the OEM BMW DCT programming. With the foundation of the already greatly improved GTS software, ESS further refines the programming by tweaking the clutch engagement characteristics and strategy for not only quicker shifts, but a smoother engagement in both spirited and normal driving conditions.

Perfected The DCT

Tune was super easy to install with the guidance of the guys at SouthernBM. M3 was instantley smoother during warm up period. Also noticed much quicker takeoff when planting my foot down from a standstill. The best thing about this tune had to be the shifts when in manual mode, the gears are brutal and i love it.

Highly recommended for better gear shifts

This tune was really noticable in the gear box instantly. Smoother changes, better rev matching even in auto, reduced clunking when coming to a stop. When hitting the gas the down shifts are way quicker and far more responsive. The clutch engagement is also more defined and engagement seems quicker (less clutch riding feel). Recommended over Engine tune if price is a concern
