ABOUT KW DDC PLUG & PLAY COILOVERS
KW DDC Plug & Play Coilovers combine adjustable ride height with electronically controlled KW dampers, delivering a complete suspension upgrade while retaining your vehicle’s factory electronic damper controls. The system replaces the original springs and dampers with a matched KW package, allowing you to refine the stance and handling while continuing to select suspension modes from the driver’s seat.
Designed for compatible vehicles with factory adaptive damping — including BMW Electronic Damper Control (EDC), KW DDC (Dynamic Damping Control) combines responsive road handling with the flexibility of adaptive suspension.
RETAINS FACTORY ELECTRONIC DAMPER CONTROL
The electronically controlled KW dampers connect directly to the vehicle’s original suspension wiring using the factory connectors. The existing suspension electronics continue to operate the dampers, while the factory interior controls retain their function.
There is no need to modify the original damper wiring, install a separate damper controller or deactivate the system with an EDC cancellation kit. KW DDC Plug & Play integrates with the compatible factory system to keep electronic damping active.
ADAPTIVE DAMPING FOR COMFORT AND PERFORMANCE
KW develops the spring and damper combination specifically for each vehicle application, balancing responsive handling and controlled body movements with everyday ride comfort.
Using the vehicle’s factory controls, you can select a more comfort-oriented or sportier damping response to suit your driving. On vehicles with adaptive damper control, the KW dampers also respond to commands from the original suspension electronics as driving conditions change.
This provides flexibility for everyday commuting, longer journeys and spirited road driving. The available suspension modes and their names depend on the vehicle, with damping managed electronically rather than through separate manual compression and rebound adjusters.
ADJUSTABLE RIDE HEIGHT
KW DDC Plug & Play Coilovers allow continuous ride-height adjustment within the kit’s tested range. Threaded height adjusters let you fine-tune the lowering to suit your preferred stance and wheel and tyre combination.
Unlike fixed lowering springs, the ride height can be readjusted after installation. Height adjustment is carried out mechanically; changing the electronic suspension mode adjusts the damping characteristics rather than raising or lowering the vehicle.

STAINLESS STEEL INOX-LINE CONSTRUCTION
KW’s inox-line stainless steel strut housings provide corrosion resistance against moisture, road dirt and salt. Combined with durable height-adjustment components, this construction helps maintain the function of the threaded adjusters over time.
These materials support regular road use and lasting durability, while allowing the ride height to be refined after installation.

KW DDC PLUG & PLAY OR KW HAS?
The KW Height Adjustable Spring Kit (HAS) adds adjustable lowering while retaining your vehicle’s original dampers. It suits drivers who want to refine their ride height and stance while keeping the factory damper setup.
KW DDC Plug & Play Coilovers replace both the springs and dampers with a matched KW suspension package. This provides adjustable lowering together with KW-developed damping characteristics, while retaining operation through the factory electronic suspension controls.
Both options retain adaptive damping on compatible vehicles. The main difference is whether you want to keep your original dampers or upgrade to a complete KW spring and damper system.
