Product Information

The SPL Tie Rod Ends for the BMW G8X, G2X, and G42 allow for bump-steer adjustment by enabling the tie-rod end pivot to be relocated using spacers. On lowered vehicles, this reduces dynamic toe change (bump-steer) as the suspension compresses during cornering or when travelling over uneven surfaces, resulting in more predictable handling, reduced tyre shoulder wear, and improved stability on rough roads and track kerbing.

NOISE, VIBRATION, AND HARSHNESS (NVH)

  • The SPL tie rod ends are not a significant contributor to NVH. They improve the driving experience by reducing bumpsteer on uncorrected cars.

  • G80 / G81 M3, Rear Wheel Drive**
  • G82 / G83 M4, Rear Wheel Drive**

*Not suitable for G2x/G42 models without Sport Adaptive Steering. The M model cars (M2, M3, M4, M340i, M440i, M240i) come standard with the Sport Adaptive Steering (2LV) and use a larger 16mm tie rod. Other trim levels that do not have the Sport Adaptive Steering have a 14mm tie rod and will need to use part number SPL TRE E9X.

**Not suitable for M xDrive / AWD models.
