The new and improved APEX BMW 5-lug wheel stud kits are the perfect upgrade for any set of performance wheels. APEX engineered these wheel studs with an improved shoulder design to eliminate stress risers that can lead to stud failure in most other designs. The wheel studs feature a 5mm hex head for easier installation. This kit converts 5-lug BMWs from inconvenient lug bolts to stronger and safer wheel studs. They can be used with or without spacers and are easy to install.
Each 5-lug wheel stud kit includes 20 studs and 20 lug nuts, with an optional installation kit sold separately. Studs and nuts can also be purchased individually on request.

INSTALLATION AND CARE
Wheel studs are critical fasteners. Incorrect preparation or torque can lead to inaccurate clamping loads and potential stud failure. Proper cleaning, thread preparation, correct thread locker use, and accurate torque are essential to safety and performance.

WHY CONVERT TO WHEEL STUDS?
STRONGER, SAFER, AND MORE CONVENIENT
Wheel studs provide a more secure and efficient mounting solution compared to factory lug bolts. By threading permanently into the hub, they distribute loads more evenly and reduce the risk of cross-threading or thread wear. They also eliminate the need to juggle wheel, spacer, and bolt alignment — simply slide the wheel onto the studs and fasten the nuts.
FASTER WHEEL CHANGES
With studs, wheels align instantly — ideal for both workshop maintenance and motorsport environments, enhancing speed and accuracy during wheel changes.
COMPATIBLE WITH SPACERS
Extended-length studs make spacer use straightforward. 75mm studs are safe for use with spacers up to 12mm thick, and 90mm studs are suitable for spacers 15mm–25mm thick. Both lengths can be used without spacers.
LONG-LASTING DURABILITY
APEX engineered these studs with a thicker shoulder to provide a stronger seating surface and prevent over-threading into the hub — a common failure point in lesser designs. By remaining installed, they also reduce wear on hub threads over time.
DESIGNED FOR PERFORMANCE
SUPERIOR MATERIALS
Each stud is cold-forged from 10.9-grade steel, providing exceptional tensile strength and fatigue resistance. Finished in corrosion-resistant black zinc plating, they’re built to perform under harsh conditions.
PRECISION ENGINEERING
All hardware features a 60° conical seat, identical to OEM BMW specifications, ensuring a perfect fit with both APEX and factory wheels. Optional installation kits include a 5mm hex key and red thread locker for secure setup.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Proper torque and installation procedures must be followed — please refer to the installation guide for further information. Always use the correct stud length for your spacer thickness. Wheel stud kitare designed for off-road use only, and local road regulations regarding their use may vary.
