ESS Tuning is proud to offer the newly developed Gen.3 E-Charger G1 based supercharger system for the BMW N52 engine family. This supercharger system is designed to offer the customer a very quick and easy, 100% bolt-on installation. With this supercharger system we bump the power output by 80-100 horsepower!
The ESS Tuning G1 supercharger system incorporates the compact, quiet and ultra efficient self-lubricating E-Charger G1 supercharger unit running 6-6.5PSI boost. With a completely sealed supercharger system there is no concern of having to run additional oil lines to and from the engine. Also, the G1 supercharger is a much quieter unit than previous models offered in this kit.
The supercharger system includes the ESS E-Flash OBD2 cable and specific ESS engine software that is perfectly calibrated for the G1 supercharged engine providing optimum ignition timing under all conditions, recalibrated throttle control for quicker throttle response, recalibrated VANOS control, and perfectly optimized fuel delivery. The dyno limiter and top speed governors are also removed. The E-Flash allows the end user to upload the supercharger ECU software from any PC running Windows XP or newer and includes a full diagnostic and code clearing capability. Any future ESS software updates can be received by email and loaded directly to the car. The stock ECU software will be saved and can easily be restored in the future.
Power development is 100% smooth and the car behaves just like stock until you demand power, then the car completely transform providing phenomenal acceleration.
Like all ESS supercharger systems, the N52/N52N G1 Gen.3 kits are tested and tuned for over 50,000 street and track miles on multiple vehicles throughout the world, 60+ hours on a load dyno, full load top speed endurance testing on the German Autobahn, and final certification laps on the Nurburgring. The system maintains all OBD-II functions and it is backed by a comprehensive 2 year, unlimited mileage warranty program. This complete system is 100% bolt on and includes everything you need. Installation takes 4-6 hours using normal hand tools and no irreversible modifications to the car are necessary.
N52 G1 Supercharger System: Non-intercooled, 6.0-6.5PSI system compatible with manual and automatic models fitted with the N52/N52N B30 engine. 93AKI/98RON or above required.
*The 3 stage DISA manifold from the 330/530, etc works fine with this kit and we have developed software to perfectly integrate this functionality on cars not originally equipped with this manifold. Do NOT under any circumstance run headers on the N52 engine, this generates a massive O2 feedback timing issue and incorrect AFR control as a result. This can cause catastrophic failure when combined with boost! ESS Tuning will not support any issues whatsoever on a N52 equipped with aftermarket headers.
Correction factor for drivetrain loss is 15% above RWHP as seen in dynograph (RWHP/0.85)
