The FTP Motorsport N54/N55/S55 Low-Temperature Oil Thermostat Kit allows you to maintain more controlled and consistent oil temperatures — typically between 90°C and 110°C — on all N54, N55, and S55 engines equipped with an oil cooler. By opening earlier than the factory unit, this upgraded thermostat helps reduce overall oil temperatures, supporting improved performance and long-term engine protection.
The kit also includes a CNC-machined aluminum thermostat cover, offering both increased durability and a premium appearance in the engine bay. This cover replaces the factory BMW thermostat housing lid — OEM part numbers 11427573212, 11427850293, and 11427637052.

FITMENT NOTICE
Models built 2006-2007 require a specific thermostat - Type 07. All other models use the Type 08 version. Visual inspection of earlier cars is recommended before ordering. Only recommended for track use on S55 powered vehicles.
