ABOUT KW HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE SPRING KIT (HAS)
The KW Height Adjustable Spring Kit (HAS) combines adjustable ride height with your vehicle’s original dampers, allowing you to fine-tune its stance while retaining the factory damper system. Unlike conventional lowering springs, which provide a fixed amount of lowering, KW HAS allows continuous height adjustment within the kit’s specified range—even after installation.
Designed for drivers who want a lower stance and more responsive handling for everyday road use, KW HAS offers an alternative to fixed lowering springs or a complete coilover suspension kit.
ADJUSTABLE LOWERING TO SUIT YOUR VEHICLE
KW HAS uses lowering springs and vehicle-specific adjustable spring seats to set the ride height within the tested adjustment range. The threaded height adjusters allow the lowering to be refined to suit your preferred appearance and wheel and tyre combination.
This gives you greater flexibility than conventional lowering springs when setting up your vehicle. The available front and rear lowering ranges depend on the application and are listed in the product specifications.
RETAINS THE FACTORY DAMPERS AND ADAPTIVE DAMPING
The KW Height Adjustable Spring Kit works with the original suspension dampers rather than replacing them. On compatible vehicles equipped with electronically controlled adaptive suspension, the factory damper adjustment remains active.
This allows you to retain the original damping controls while adding adjustable lowering. HAS adjusts ride height; it does not add independent compression or rebound adjustment to the factory dampers.
VEHICLE-SPECIFIC SPRING DEVELOPMENT
KW uses high-quality chrome-silicon steel springs, with spring rates selected to suit the vehicle’s original dampers and axle loads. For applications with adaptive suspension, development also takes the different factory damper characteristics into account.
The result is a spring package designed to balance more direct handling with everyday usability. Ride characteristics will depend on the vehicle, the selected ride height and its wheel and tyre setup.
MATCHED SPRING SEATS AND PROTECTION COMPONENTS
Alongside the springs and height adjusters, KW HAS kits use application-specific elastomers, or bump stops, and dust protection components. These are matched to the intended lowering range to support the operation and protection of the original dampers.

KW HAS, LOWERING SPRINGS OR COILOVERS?
Conventional lowering springs provide a predetermined amount of lowering. KW HAS adds ride-height adjustment while retaining the original dampers. A complete coilover suspension kit replaces both the springs and dampers and, depending on the product, may also offer adjustable damping.
KW HAS is suited to drivers who want control over their vehicle’s ride height while keeping the factory damper system, including adaptive damping where fitted and compatible.
