ABOUT KW VARIANT 2 (V2) CLASSIC COILOVERS
KW V2 Classic coilovers combine adjustable ride height with adjustable rebound damping, bringing modern KW suspension technology to classic and modern classic vehicles.
Developed for each application, they provide the flexibility to refine handling and ride comfort while retaining the character of the original chassis. A matched spring and damper package provides the foundation, with rebound adjustment allowing further changes to suit your preferences.
ADJUSTABLE REBOUND FOR COMFORT AND CONTROL
Rebound damping controls how quickly the suspension extends after compression. Adjusting it influences body movement and how the vehicle responds to changes in road surface and driving inputs.
KW’s adjustable rebound technology lets you refine the balance between ride comfort and body control. Compression damping remains preset by KW for the application, giving you an established setup from which to make adjustments.
DEVELOPED FOR THE CLASSIC CHASSIS
KW develops its Classic applications using road testing and modern vehicle dynamics testing methods. The suspension is tuned around the requirements of the older vehicle, helping bring its road behaviour up to date.
Each kit starts with KW’s recommended basic setup. Rebound adjustment then provides scope to accommodate personal driving preferences and changes to the wheel and tyre combination.
This makes the V2 Classic a flexible suspension upgrade for owners who want to enjoy their classic regularly and refine how it drives.
ADJUSTABLE RIDE HEIGHT AND APPLICATION-SPECIFIC CONSTRUCTION
Continuous ride-height adjustment allows the stance to be tailored within the specified range, with the option to readjust the height after installation.
The damper housings and mounting components are selected to suit the vehicle’s suspension layout. Materials, finishes and installation arrangements vary across the Classic range, with the specification for each kit listed separately.

FROM KW V2 TO KW V2 CLASSIC
The standard KW V2 builds on adjustable lowering by adding rebound adjustment, allowing the driver to refine the vehicle’s response while retaining KW’s preset compression damping.
KW V2 Classic applies that same technology to older vehicles. Its development focuses on integrating the V2 damping approach with the classic chassis, using a spring and damper specification suited to the application.
The result is an evolution of the vehicle’s suspension through established V2 technology, preserving its individual character while adding greater control over handling and ride quality.
