FITMENT & REQUIREMENTS
- Suitable for MINI R50 3-Door Hatch (One, One D, Cooper, S Works, Works), R52 Convertible (One, Cooper, Cooper S, John Cooper Works) and R53 3-Door Hatch (Cooper S) models only. Refer to the model/variant list at the bottom of this page for full compatibility.
- Height adjustable on the front and rear axles (threaded strut housings).
- For vehicles manufactured before 4/02, the piston rod is fastened to the support bearing with an arched disk (piston rod threads visible). In models built after 4/02, the piston rod mount is lowered and covered by a cap (piston rod threads not visible).
- Without parts certificate (Teilegutachten/TTG), optionally with strength reports for individual approval according to §21; Clubsport strut mounts are generally supplied without parts certificate (Teilegutachten/TTG).

ABOUT KW VARIANT 3 (V3) CLUBSPORT COILOVERS
KW V3 Clubsport Coilovers combine adjustable ride height with independently adjustable compression and rebound damping in a suspension package developed for road cars used on track. Formerly known as KW Clubsport 2-way, V3 Clubsport brings KW’s motorsport experience to drivers who want greater circuit capability while retaining the flexibility to drive their vehicle on the road.
With a setup developed around performance tyres and track-day demands, V3 Clubsport provides the adjustment needed to refine body control, handling balance and tyre grip for different circuits and driving conditions.
DEVELOPED FOR TRACK DAYS
KW V3 Clubsport uses application-specific spring rates and damper characteristics selected for the demands of performance driving. Its development draws on KW’s experience at the Nürburgring Nordschleife and testing on its 7-post vehicle dynamics rig.
The emphasis is on supporting the vehicle under braking, cornering and acceleration, particularly when using high-grip tyres. The adjustable setup allows you to account for your vehicle’s wheel and tyre combination, driving preferences and track conditions.
INDEPENDENT COMPRESSION AND REBOUND ADJUSTMENT
KW V3 Clubsport provides 16 clicks of low-speed rebound adjustment and 12 clicks of low-speed compression adjustment. The two settings can be changed independently, allowing you to refine different aspects of the suspension’s response.
Rebound damping controls how quickly the suspension extends after being compressed, influencing how the vehicle settles and how body movements are controlled.
Compression damping controls resistance as the suspension compresses, helping you adjust the support provided during braking, steering and acceleration.
“Low-speed” refers to the movement of the damper piston, rather than the vehicle’s road speed. Defined adjustment clicks make changes repeatable, allowing you to compare settings and return to a known setup.
TOP MOUNTS FOR MORE PRECISE GEOMETRY ADJUSTMENT
Depending on the application, KW V3 Clubsport is available with aluminium spherical-bearing top mounts. Where camber adjustment is provided, these allow the wheel alignment to be tailored to the tyre setup and intended use, supporting cornering grip and more direct handling.

ADJUSTABLE LOWERING AND DURABLE CONSTRUCTION
Continuous ride-height adjustment allows you to set the vehicle’s stance within the kit’s tested lowering range. Threaded spring seats or separate height adjusters allow the height to be readjusted after installation.
KW’s inox-line stainless steel strut housings provide corrosion resistance, while dirt-resistant trapezoidal threads and durable composite spring seats support lasting height-adjustment functionality.

KW V3 OR KW V3 CLUBSPORT?
KW V3 focuses on performance road driving, combining everyday usability with independently adjustable compression and rebound damping. It suits drivers who want to refine their road handling and ride comfort.
KW V3 Clubsport places greater emphasis on track performance, with spring and damper characteristics developed for circuit use and performance tyres. Selected applications also offer adjustable spherical-bearing top mounts for additional control over wheel alignment.
Both provide 16-click rebound and 12-click compression adjustment. The difference lies in the suspension’s underlying setup and application-specific hardware, rather than the number of adjustment clicks.
Choose V3 when road use and everyday comfort are the priority, or V3 Clubsport when regular track days are a key part of how you use the vehicle and you are comfortable with a more focused setup.
