FITMENT & REQUIREMENTS
- Suitable for BMW E30 M3 Convertible, and E30 M3 Coupe models only. Refer to the model/variant list at the bottom of this page for full compatibility.
- Height adjustable front and rear axles (front axle threaded strut housings, rear axle adjustable springs + dampers).
- When using original tyres, wheel offset spacers may be required.
- Supplied with complete front coilover struts and integrated galvanised steel steering knuckles. No cutting, welding or modifications to the original struts are required.

ABOUT KW VARIANT 3 (V3) COILOVERS
KW V3 Coilovers combine adjustable ride height with independently adjustable compression and rebound damping, giving you greater control over your vehicle’s handling and ride comfort. Also known as KW Variant 3, V3 brings KW’s suspension expertise to a complete spring and damper package developed for performance road driving.
With 16 clicks of rebound adjustment and 12 clicks of compression adjustment, you can refine the suspension beyond its recommended settings to suit your preferences, wheel and tyre combination and the roads you drive.
INDEPENDENT COMPRESSION AND REBOUND ADJUSTMENT
Compression and rebound damping control different stages of suspension movement. KW V3 allows you to adjust them separately, providing more flexibility when balancing ride comfort, steering response and body control.
Rebound damping controls how quickly the suspension extends after being compressed. Its 16-click adjustment influences how the vehicle settles after bumps and responds during changes in direction.
Compression damping controls resistance as the suspension compresses. Its 12-click adjustment allows you to refine the support the suspension provides during steering, braking and acceleration.
Both adjusters operate in the low-speed damping range. This refers to the speed of the damper piston, rather than the vehicle’s road speed.

ADVANCED VALVE TECHNOLOGY FOR ROAD USE
KW V3 combines TVR-A adjustable rebound technology with TVC-A adjustable compression technology. Separate valve circuits allow you to change the compression setting without changing the selected rebound setting, and vice versa.
The compression valve also incorporates a blow-off characteristic that allows additional oil flow during faster damper movements, such as sharp road inputs. This helps balance support during body movements with compliance over uneven surfaces.

A DEVELOPED SETUP WITH FLEXIBILITY TO FINE-TUNE
Each application features spring rates and damper settings developed specifically for the vehicle. KW’s development process combines testing on its 7-post vehicle dynamics rig with driving assessments to establish a balanced road setup.
The recommended settings provide a starting point, so you can enjoy the suspension without immediately making adjustments. When you want to personalise the response, the defined adjustment clicks make changes repeatable and allow you to return to previous settings.

CONTINUOUSLY ADJUSTABLE LOWERING
KW V3 allows you to refine your vehicle’s stance within the kit’s tested lowering range. Threaded spring seats or separate height adjusters provide continuous adjustment, with the option to change the ride height after installation.
Lowering reduces the vehicle’s centre of gravity, while the separate damping adjustments allow you to refine its driving characteristics.

KW’s inox-line stainless steel strut housings provide corrosion resistance against moisture and road dirt. Dirt-resistant trapezoidal threads and durable composite spring seats help maintain height-adjustment functionality over time.
