A seat mount is first and foremost a safety-critical component, and Speed Engineering has designed this complete Seat Mount and Side Adapter Set with that in mind. Engineered for use with almost any fixed-back racing seat, this system includes both the floor mounts (to secure the seat assembly to the vehicle) and the side adapters (to attach the aftermarket seat to the floor mounts), providing a complete and ready-to-install solution.

Every component has been developed using advanced engineering methods and finite element method (FEM) simulations to ensure maximum safety, strength, and optimised weight. The mounts are designed to achieve a low and central seating position perfectly aligned with the steering wheel, while also allowing for the fitment of adjustable seat rails if desired.

Each component is precisely formed to handle load stress effectively, with the shape and cut-outs determined through stress analysis rather than aesthetics. The design incorporates internal threads, eliminating the need for difficult-to-access nuts and reducing both installation time and hardware requirements.

Using 3D scanning technology, Speed Engineering has maximised the available installation space, ensuring a perfect fit and easy alignment. The 4 mm steel L-adapters are the result of extensive testing, with a carefully planned hole layout that allows for fine seat height adjustment to suit individual driver preferences.

The intelligent two-part design reduces both lever arms and torque loads between attachment points, resulting in lower stress on components, less weight, and easier assembly. For BMW F-Series and G-Series models, Speed Engineering’s precise tolerances mean oblong holes are unnecessary, enabling a clean installation using blind holes.
