- Suitable for BMW G87 M2 Coupe (Base, M2 CS), rear-wheel-drive BMW G80 M3 Sedan (Base, M3 Competition), and rear-wheel-drive BMW G82 M4 Coupe (Base, M4 Competition, M4 CSL) models only. Refer to the model/variant list at the bottom of this page for full compatibility.
- No installation manual available.
- Upside down solution for front axle shock with 40mm plain bearing.
- If the vehicle has factory electronic damping (EDC), electronic damping control must be deactivated. A suitable KW deactivation kit is NOT included.
- Without parts certificate, must be registered by individual approval according to §21.

ABOUT KW VARIANT 6 (V6) RACING COILOVERS
KW V6 Racing coilovers bring five-way adjustable damping and KW Solid Piston technology to dedicated track and competition builds. Developed for professional motorsport, the V6 Racing allows the suspension response to be tailored to the circuit, tyres and vehicle setup.
Independent low-speed and high-speed compression and rebound adjustment is combined with an adjustable compression blow-off valve, giving drivers and race engineers greater control over body support and the response to kerbs and sudden impacts.
FIVE-WAY ADJUSTMENT TO REFINE YOUR SETUP
The V6 Racing provides five separate damping adjustments:
- Low-speed compression: influences support during braking, cornering and acceleration.
- High-speed compression: controls resistance to rapid compression movements over bumps and kerbs.
- Low-speed rebound: adjusts how the suspension extends during slower chassis movements.
- High-speed rebound: controls extension during faster suspension movements.
- Compression blow-off: adjusts the damping response when compression forces reach the blow-off threshold.
KW specifies 18 clicks for each compression and rebound adjustment, plus 12 clicks for the compression blow-off setting. Low-speed and high-speed refer to damper movement, rather than vehicle speed.
SOLID PISTON TECHNOLOGY FOR DIRECT RESPONSE
KW’s Solid Piston design displaces damper fluid through separate valves instead of passing it through the working piston. This allows precise control of the damping characteristics and a responsive reaction to small suspension movements.
The valve arrangement supports consistent damping at low gas pressure, helping the suspension maintain accurate control under demanding track conditions.

CONTROL OVER KERBS AND SHARP IMPACTS
The adjustable compression blow-off valve adds another way to refine the setup. It allows the damping-force curve to flatten at higher damper speeds, helping manage the sudden increase in force when crossing aggressive kerbs.
This gives race engineers more scope to balance chassis support with the suspension’s ability to absorb sharp inputs.

HOW DOES KW V6 RACING COMPARE TO KW V5 RACING?
Both use KW Solid Piston technology. The standard V5 Racing configuration offers four-way adjustment through separate low-speed and high-speed compression and rebound controls. The V6 Racing adds adjustable compression blow-off as its fifth tuning parameter.
KW also offers configurable V5 Racing dampers with an adjustable blow-off option, so the distinction depends on the supplied specification. The V6 Racing places five-way adjustment at the centre of its package.
